I moved here initially and began a career as an Exercise Physiologist for an outpatient physical therapy/rehabilitation company for fourteen (14) years. However, my entire life has been spent involved in some form of exercise, sport, or physical activity, and I’ve always had a passion for helping others – so in 2010, I made the decision to combine my love of physical activity and passion for helping others in need and became a personal trainer. I’ve made it my life’s mission to help those people that want and need help to achieve their best level of overall physical well-being.
I am not your average trainer – my years of education, rehab experience and the multiple special certifications I hold, put me a step above. I also have years of experience training people with underlying injuries, that may in the past, have kept them from exercising on a regular basis. Examples of such people are those experiencing acute and chronic low back pain, who’ve had knee or shoulder surgeries, and the elderly population. I love working with athletes, being an athlete myself, I know the agility skills it takes to train for the next level of competition.
My clients describe me as having a very caring, kind, sensitive nature, and in my quest to help those with special medical needs be more physically active, I obtained multiple specialized certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine in training individuals with cancer, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and many other physical limitations.
